
André Aflalo MBA
André Aflalo holds a BA in Finance from HEC Montréal and an MBA in Finance from the George Washington University, School of Business. He is fluent in French and conversant in Spanish.
André's career includes senior roles in the corporate and consulting arenas within the telecom industry with the likes of MCI Communications (Washington, D.C.), Cable & Wireless (London) and Telmex (Mexico City) before being engaged in the financial services industry in 2002.
Business Philosophy
André developed an early interest for personal investing while pursuing his MBA in finance in the mid to late 1980s. At a time that preceded the age of the Internet, André often began his Sunday mornings analyzing stocks and mutual funds from the pages of The Wall Street Journal and Barron's with paper and pencil. His avid interest in personal investing coupled with his deep passion for helping people developed into a new career in 2002 when he joined the financial services industry in managing portfolios for individuals, families and non-profit organizations.
Personal Background
André grew up in Morocco and moved to the United States to attend graduate school. His father spent his career as a Press Attaché for the U.S. embassy in Rabat and planning to go study, and eventually settle, in the United States was part of a long term plan for him and his sister who both ended up doing so in the early 1980s. André lives with his family in Wesport, CT. He has a passion for travelling and discovering new places to visit and exploring different cultures and cuisines. He is equally passionate about promoting financial literacy among young adults and demonstrating the potential benefits of an investment discipline at an early age.
